    Useless okapi trivia: earlier this year I was pleased to hear scientists had evidence of surviving okapis in Congo’s Virunga National Park (near the tripartite border with Rwanda and Uganda) where okapis had been believed extinct since 1959, despite the refugee crises and civil wars in the area since then.
