We made an offer on another house yesterday morning. It’s going to be a tough one and may even turn into a bidding war. If that happens, we’ll step out. We already raised our offer yesterday afternoon to meet their asking price, but that’s as far as we want to go. It’s a great house (well, it will be after someone gives it the renovation it deserves), and Karsten and I are very hopeful, but we don’t want to get carried away and bid too much since it needs a lot of work.

But if you can spare any good luck wishes, we’d love to have ’em!

Wish us luck!

Thanks! It doesn’t have quite the same backyard as the other one, but it’s big enough that you could still come over and have a drink with us outside and never have to set foot in the Allergen House of Doom. 🙂

    Hee! Danke!

(I wanted to write a German equivalent of *giggle* but I couldn’t decide if *giggle* is really “(I) giggle” (verb) or “(I emit a) giggle” (noun) — how would you do it, professor? 🙂

I really enjoyed our phone call the other night. You mentioned you thought our conversation in East Nashville was good.

    No.

The phone call the other night was a GOOD conversation.

No drinks in two days, Kate. 🙂

I agree. Seems like we both needed a nice, relaxing, amusing discussion about nothing in particular.

Go you on the drinks! Maybe we’ll have to start hanging out at coffee shops instead of bars. *shrug* Suits me fine.

Ooh, GOOD LUCK! I guess the important question is, “Is there a brick bar-b-que for Karsten to have his evil, destructive ways with in the yard anywhere?” 😀

I don’t interact much online in German, so I don’t know for sure what the conventions are for such things, but I do know that my friend Sven in Leipzig always says “lach” for what English-speakers would say “*laughing*” or “LOL” for. So I’d guess it should be *kicher*, but don’t hold me to that.

No, but it’s almost better: there’s this nasty faux brick siding (it’s almost like roofing material) that Karsten will get to rip off. Whee!

If we get the house. (Hope, hope, hope!)

Best of luck and here’s hope the current owners know smarter drug dealers then the last sellers you dealt with! 🙂

That’s the nicest thing anyone’s hoped for us yet. 🙂

BTW, do you know what’s become of the last house?
