Same thing you’ll do nine days from now. Live the life you want to live. Compromise where you have to, but don’t give up who you are. Love the people in you life as much as you can.
Heh. Yeah, something a bit wild would certainly be a rather appropriate way to “ring out” the decade of my 20s. More representative of the former half of the decade, though. 😉
I’ll probably end up settling for about 75 hours of work this coming week and the promise of a fat December overtime paycheck in January. Anyway, that’s a pretty good metaphor for the latter half of my 20s — frugality by necessity, simplicity, delayed gratification. 😉
Definitely. One other thing I did for my 40th, which actually was on the day of the 40th, is I hiked up to a favorite spot on a mountain for the sunrise, and had worked out a bit of a ritual. Just trying to provide food for thought. 🙂
I’m far more shallow, so I’ll probably end up spending the morning of the 23rd thrifting at my favorite thrift shop in Chicago Heights, and then spending the evening having yummy vegan dinner at the Chicago Diner.
Still feels like I should be doing something in these days leadind up to the 23rd, though. Something frivolous and excusable as a 20-something, but which would be irresponsible as a 30-something. 😉

Oh, I know, but it seems like there should be some wild “out with the 20s, in with the 30s” kind of event. 😉
Heh. Not sure the precedent of my 40th birthday party would work for you, but I know it worked out very well for me. 🙂

Hi. I just noticed that you friended me, so I thought I’d let you know I’m friending you back.
And just to let you know I’m semi in the same situation, I am less than a day shy of no longer being a minor. >.<
Exciting! What are you going to do to celebrate/mourn/whatever? 🙂
Yer so deep. 😉
