John H over at Salem’s Lots has some pics from Oktoberfest up, and one of them is of Karsten in his “opium den,” a.k.a. the art studio in the basement. You can’t tell it’s an art studio from the picture — all you can see are empty boxes and our bikes — but whatever. I’ll get a better picture of the studio itself sometime soon. For now, though, check out that look!
Getting something out of his pocket? I guess. And giving a really devious look to someone out of the picture’s frame. Love it!
Karsten is a face of Oktoberfest!
How is “empty boxes and our bikes” not the definition of what an artists studio looks like? That’s whats been in every one of them I’ve ever been in. Then the other half of the room is full of statues or paintings or fire gear or trapezes and ropes and stuff.
Speaking of which, if you ever get the chance to see a group called “Flam-Chen” definitely go wherever they are. They are an absolutely fabulous fire performance troupe.

I built their first website for them, but then they got someone that actually knew what they were doing. hehehe Oh, they are Tucson, AZ based.
Heh, well, it’s not what the rest of the art studio looks like. The other half of the room is full of statues and paintings… oh. You said that already.
