I’m with you. Since my hair has gotten longer and longer, coupled with working from home I haven’t been giving it the attention it deserves.

I’m seriously considering getting thin dreads. Only thing hold me back is if I have to show up for an office type professional gig.

Dreads can look cool, sure, but — and I don’t know if this is your experience, but it’s mine — they often stink. Which is its own kind of unpleasant.

I keep growing my hair out and then chopping it off. I’ve found that a super-short pixie cut is amazingly cute and SO easy to fix.

I think people with dreads often stink. 🙂 🙂

From what I’ve learned as long as you are using residue free shampoo and wring them dry they should be fine.

OK, possibly. 🙂 But I once lived with a gal who dreaded her hair, and her hair got to where it reeked even though she was clean and usually smelled fine. OTOH, maybe she didn’t know how to care for her dreads properly.

I did super-short back in the early ’90s, and I did like it, but I think I’m more interested in having at least chin-length hair (public statements of Sinead-style aspirations to the contrary). Right now my hair is shoulder length, which I’m finding to be both too short and too long, but at least it’s versatile. I haven’t found a stylist locally whom I’d trust enough to give me a less versatile cut — because to me, the less versatile a cut is, the better a cut it needs to be.

Heh, I wonder how dreads would go over at work … I dunno if they would like that too much hehehe.

Do like I do and just shave it. Its the greatest. No more hair care products and it takes 30 seconds to dry off after a shower. If it rains or the wind blows, no hair to worry about!

You’re not the one styling it every morning. 😉

So, what, you don’t like short hair?

i’ve had some very good friends with nonstinky dreads. i’ve wanted them for years.. has spent the entire time we’ve known each other talking me out of it.

i think though if i can find someone who is willing to help me do it then i’m going too.

Alright, I’ll leave it alone. If you like it, it’s worth the effort. 😉
